Diagnosis
Male is similar to other Stenocypha species by slender rather than broad Abd, with S3 about 3x as long as wide (dorsal view). However, differs by (1) head with isolated square pale patch on frons; (2) thorax marked with oblique yellow panel on sides; (3) tibiae all black; (4) red of S3-10 extends ventrally of lateral carina; (5) paraprocts red with black tip, about 3/5 as long as cerci. Habitat description
Streams shaded by forest, but sometimes in clearings. Often with a gravelly and/or probably sandy bottom, submerged roots, dead trunks or branches and/or coarse detritus. From 1500 to 2400 m above sea level.
